‘Football Cardinals – My Pictures’ Archives
Wolfman!

The guy they called the Wolfman...the pride of Fair Hope, Alabama, where he lives today in retirement....Cardinal's center Tom Banks...a wildman on and off the field...and one of Hanifan's favorites!!
Harry Carson

Hall of Fame linebacker Harry Carson of the New York Giants....a great player and even greater guy...one of the true do-gooder's of the game, then and now!
Ernest Gray

Giant's Wide Receiver Ernest Gray....not exactly a household name in pro football, but on this day he had plenty to talk about....Gray caught four touchdown passes against the Big Red in the Giant's victory....a career day for sure, and back to the game day film for the Card's cornerbacks!!!
Brad Van Pelt

Sadly, Brad Van Pelt passed away in early 2009 of a heart attack at the age of 58...here he is after a Cards-New York Giants game at Busch in 1981...a great linebacker and one of the greatest all-around athlete's in Michigan history...was drafted by four MLB teams as a pitcher-outfielder, but chose football instead.
Jim Hanifan

Where hasn't this guy been? Jim Hanifan interviewed by KMOX reporter Paul Alexander after a game in 1982...just before the strike...Jim was the Big Red's Head Coach at the time.
Jim Hart – Redskin

And a not-so-happy Jim Hart after another Cardinal's victory...because Hart, you see, then played for the visiting Washington Redskins...(remember that year?)..The Skin's usually stuck it to the Big Red in the early and mid 80's but this time it was different....A Neil O'Donahue field goal in the last 10 seconds ekked out a rare win for the birds [...]
From the Sidelines…

Again, on the sidelines...the only year I ever got to do that game after game...it was great!!
