In 1986,  a letter, one that stated my rate of pay for the upcoming NFL season as Press Box Announcer….needless to say, I did it mostly for the enjoyment….although $36 was standard around the league back then….or so Mr. Bidwill said !!….. (just kidding)…actually in my few dealings with him I found him to be a gracious individual and he even made my son Jamie (nine at the time) a Cardinal’s mascot for a Saturday morning practice…. which meant an autographed football, some Big Red trinkets, and a travel bag…Neil Lomax even threw him a few balls in the end zone after practice…with Bill’s blessing…so, no complaints here!!!!
